A treat for real ale lovers!

We're rather proud of our cask ale here at Sir Sydney Smith. Keeping and serving a fresh beer product is more difficult than keg lagers because the yeast is still active when the ale is delivered to us (unlike keg beers which have been pasteurised). This means greater care needs to be taken in the storage and in the serve process. Fresh cask ale tastes wonderful but can quickly deteriorate if it's not looked after - which is why we look after it very carefully! The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) recognise pubs that sell good ale and we were delighted when they included us in their current Good Beer Guide.


So what is the treat? Well we are installing another ale line which means you will soon have a fourth cask ale to tempt you when you visit. Can you have too much choice?
